Obama victory will prolong US racial divide, says British equality ...

I voted for a black man in the Republican primary in 2000. I voted for Alan Keyes, because he had the character, intelligence, knowledge and experience to make a great president. I would've voted for him again this year, had he chosen to run. Perhaps if the Republican Party wises up this year they'll get McCain to have Keyes run as V.P. There will be a black president in America before long, but it won't be Obama. It will be a black conservative Republican who runs and wins on the strength of his character, ideas and experience.

Microsoft has a rather ambiguous relationship with open source. On one hand the Redmond company is avidly competing with members of the OSS community that have adopted the open source business model, throwing its entire weight behind its own proprietary software strategy. And on the other, Microsoft is increasingly forced by its own customers to provide an interoperability bridge between its products and open source solutions. So far, the Redmond company has responded by offering increased support for heterogeneous .

Thimberg also pointed to the fact that many are party to the case, including record companies that may be seeking monetary damages. Its a rather large and unusual case, she said. The World Is "Staggering"!

Consequently, they have started to shift their headquarters and field leaders to African states, especially since most states in the Dark Continent are crippled with conflicts, turmoil, civil wars, and rebellious militias and all this makes it difficult to control the movements of terrorist groups.

Al-Qaeda employs a variety of methods to recruit new members. In Iraq, for example, it preys on the innocence of children and assassinates the souls of women! Recently, a documentary circulated in Iraq showing masked children aged 11 to 15 training on how to carry out raids and kidnap individuals in public. The footage shows a group of young boys attacking and kidnapping a young man riding a bicycle. Another scene shows those boys forcing a car to stop at gunpoint while another shows the raiding of a house and the captivation of its residents.

World's finest tech sites immortalised

They may have transformed man's understanding of the universe but the monumental impact of the world's first large radio telescope and the planet's largest particle physics lab has never been fully recognised.

Now both Jodrell Bank and Cern are among the technological landmarks that could be immortalised alongside the pyramids of Egypt and Taj Mahal on Unesco's World Heritage Site (WHS) list.

The UK National Commission for Unesco and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport are hosting a three-day workshop to set the framework for creating future World Heritage Sites that mark advances in science and technology.

Experts on the history of science and world heritage from 15 countries are taking part in the London-based sessions to create the framework, which is expected to stimulate a surge in the number of science and technology heritage sites across the world.
